Wireless Security Systems
Wireless home security systems use radio waves to transmit their signals rather than wires. This has two advantages - first, they are easier to install than having to run wires throughout your house and second, there are no wires for a potential intruder to cut to bypass the system.
Wireless home security systems can be used with or without central station monitoring. The systems come with a built-in modem that when wired into your home phone system, it can call anyone you want with a phone or cell phone. You can arm and disarm the system over the phone, call the system to listen in on whats happening at your house and even communicate with whoever is there (let's hope it's your spouse or kids!) through its built-in microphone.
Motion sensors are normally used in larger rooms or hallways. The motion sensors we use have dual technology to sense motion and heat patterns. If they are tripped, a signal gets sent to the control panel which analyzes it to determine if it is a suspicious motion. This way it can filter out movement such as pets that roam freely.
Our wireless alarm systems can handle up to 8 wireless remotes if needed. This reduces the need to punch in codes all the time. Plus the systems can be integrated into home automation devices and actually control them.
Why a Wireless
Alarm System?
First there is less potential damage to your home because we don't have to drill throughout your house to run wires for security system components. With a wireless system, the only wires that are run are wires for A/C power and telephone communication. This makes for a cleaner, safer, less time consuming install.
Next, a wireless system install is more aesthetically pleasing. There are no exposed wires to look at or to paint around later. Also most sensors can be painted or covered by drapes.
Additionally, wireless systems allow for optimum placement of each security device and component. With a hardwired system, sometimes it is not possible to run a wire to the optimum location for the placement of a motion detector or glass-break detector. With a wireless system, the device can be placed exactly where it needs to go.
Another advantage of a wireless system installation is the speed of the installation process. Most wireless system installations can be completed in 4-5 hours depending on the amount of sensors and control panel programming required. Then another 1-3 hours can then be used to train and educate the homeowner on the various features of the new security system.
Most importantly, the most unique benefit of a wireless security system is portability. With a hardwired system, the system must remain in the home when you move. With a wireless system, you can easily remove it and take it with you to your new home or we can do it for you. You will never have to buy an alarm system again. Plus they are upgradeable, so you can buy a small system at first and expand it later.
