Solar powered motion lights are one of the best ways to save money and put lights just about anywhere you want. Barns, garages, sheds, gazebos or boat docks. They also come in Halogen and LED lighting types. Both put out sufficient light without the hassles and dangers of wiring into your homes high voltage power.
The solar panels can be placed as far as 15-20 ft. away from the light allowing for better placement in hard to reach areas.
I use them all over the farm: at the front gate to light up the driveway at night (gets really dark out here in the country, sometimes) in our horse barn, our storage shed and in our detached garage.

Ever wanted ceiling fans or lights in your gazebo but didn't want to run high voltage AC out to it?
Try a 12VDC/24VDC ceiling fan and a small solar panel or go with a larger solar panel and put lights, fans and an AC inverter in your gazebo for the ultimate greenbo!....gazebo+green=greenbo?
How about gazeen? no.... oh well, anyways, the same can be done with barns, sheds or any place you need some power.

Most homes have inadequate ventilation in the attic or roofspace. A solar powered attic fan or gable fan can do the trick. Venting up to 1275 cfm of air will do most areas up to 2000sqft. Again without tapping into high voltage AC.

I know that flourescents and LED lights are not solar, but these are not your ordinary house bulbs. These are 12VDC lights to be used with solar panels. These are the same kind I put in my workshop for illumination. These are all I use, just 4 flourescents in my entire workshop (which is a 14' cargo trailer).
Plus I think that the LED flood lights are also a good choice to use in barns and sheds with high ceilings.
